Our full range of services is as follows:

Retail Officers

Our Retail Officers are trained and undertake duties such as tag checks, delivery, loss prevention and most importantly fronting your premises in a professional manner, with a professional image. We ensure our retail officers work as part of your team.

We encourage your managers to get involved in a basic interview stage to ensure they feel that the officer will fit within their environment. This has worked well in the retail industry and has now been introduced to the commercial sector as also.

Like our Commercial Officers we encourage Security Officers to aim high and motivate them to achieve professionally and personally in life. With on-going training and guidance throughout their careers with Kenden Security Limited our officers are able to move through the ranks in order to develop within the organisation.

Static Guard Security Services

Kenden Security

Kenden Security Limited will provide well trained, SIA Licensed and Professional Static Guarding for all your on-site security requirements, whether for retail, commercial or industrial premises.

A uniformed Static Security Officer from Kenden Security Limited will deter theft and vandalism, as well as reducing the potential damage from other risks such as fire and flood. Kenden Security Limited Officers can also undertake other duties such as janitorial, caretaking, reception, stock control and administration. Static Security Guards can be employed on a flexible basis so your business is protected
when it is most at risk.

All our Security Officers receive rigorous training and are subject to continuous on site supervision and random inspections.

Mobile Security Patrols

Kenden Mobile Security Patrols (operating in the north east area) offer a cost effective alternative to static guarding, where a continuous presence is deemed unnecessary. These well equipped search and response units make random security patrols of client’s premises (business and residential), through the night and at week ends - to ensure the security of all doors, gates and windows. Kenden mobile patrol units are equipped with all the necessary tools to complete the security requirements of the premises Residential customers also utilise this service when away from home for holidays and family gatherings for example.

Site Management

All sites with Static Guards have assignment instructions detailing the duties of each guard assigned to that site. New site start-up procedures, guard training and site inspection procedures ensure that all guards are properly instructed and supervised in the operation of their duties.

Keyholding is an option that, in the event of an incident, enables a Security Officer to check your premises, secure them and reset the alarm system. Should the worst happen, and your alarm is triggered, you can be assured that our Security Officer will deal with your situation intelligently and professionally, whatever they find - be it a burglary in progress, vandalism or simply an accidental false alarm.
In the long-term, substantial amounts of time and money could be saved using this option.

Key Holding can also include the routine opening and closing of your premises and acceptance of late deliveries during out of hours periods.

Staff members who are used as key holders should always be trained in what to do if there's a call-out, and should never be expected to enter an office or building alone. Security risk assessments should be taken seriously, the Home Office, in its online crime prevention handbook, states that keyholders who enter premises out of hours in response to alarms are at serious risk of violence; staff should be issued with personal attack alarms, if required, to respond to call-outs - however, their advice is, they should not enter the building.

Risk assessment

Kenden Security

Assessing and understanding the level of risk and the potential threat to an organisation’s operations is the basis for establishing an effective security policy.

Effective security starts with a clear understanding of the types and levels of risk that an organisation faces. If these risks are not already known and fully understood a security survey and risk assessment will identify them.

All organisations face some form of security risk, which can vary from low risk to high risk that could be from internal or external forces. Failure to recognise and manage these risks could seriously jeopardise even the most successful business, leaving them open to attack that could possibly result in a costly interruption to normal operations.

kenden will carry out a Risk Assessment on any aspect of your business, be it a greenfield site you want to develop for new warehousing or administration, or an area of your business you feel is not secure enough. The assessment will identify and evaluate potential threats that exist with your current security systems and procedures gauging their effectiveness against specific criteria. In our detailed report we will provide recommendations that are practical and realistic to manage the risks we have identified. We will advise on the implementation of systems and procedures to prevent negative security events, whilst advising on measures to put in place should the worst happen.

The solutions that kenden recommend will be appropriate to the level of exposure. We work from a discreet, unobtrusive stance in harmony with your existing operational activities. As we maintain complete independence from any supplier or manufacturer you can be confident you are getting first-class, unbiased, impartial advice from security industry experts.

Mobile Patrol

Mobile Patrol Guards provide the next best option to static guards at a fraction of the cost. If the circumstances do not require a guard to be on site or in the premises all of the time when mobile patrols may be the answer you are looking for. A guard can be instructed to visit your premises at arranged or random times, during each 24 hour period. During each visit various duties can be performed.

Patrolling the premises to search for problems is an obvious use, but how about switching on the heating and lighting a couple of hours before the arrival of the staff or checking that everything is switched off correctly after the staff have left. Special duties and the number of visits each night can be carried on a day to day basis to give you the security cover you need and want.
